The animators showreel
I have asked a few people to work with me on a project called THE ANIMATORS, my idea was to create one animation, that has 17 different concepts but follow one story line . Everyone uses his own individual technique, and at the end all of the small shorts of animation will be pit together, to create one full animation called LEMONATE (which is coming out soon) This show-reel is created with the work of 14 people, who are all part of the project called "The Animators". Work: Jack Holden- Mimicry Arthur Tarassevski- Showreel Kamila Mammedova- Molly, Walk through map Alex Price- Lemonate Alison Kow-Mutation, Monsters lurking Joshua Gilroy-Rossi- The train Julia Pardo- The take Lilly Zulaiha- Character walk Jacky Ran Chan- Boatman Gina Rai- Lazy shell Alek Cortes- Entropy, Visit Niall Hunter- Dysfunctional dynamics Mohamed El Amrani- the challenge Nela Angelova- The child within Music: Secession studios- The Olympiad
This animation was inspired by a lovely person and the amazing connection she have with her Mom. The technique is unusual for my normal type of animating, as I normally use a lot of colours and different gradients of shades, for this animation however I only used simple lines, and the reason why was because I needed to do something unique and yet amazing. A perfect way to illustrate the connection between a daughter and a mom.
On my way
While working on this project during my MA at Northumbria University, I was asked to produce short animation/video using technique I have never used before. And since I have always been fascinated by working with shooting cameras, I decided to use the technique of shooting individual frames. The video was shoot during night time and the reason why is because I wanted to capture not the physical objects around me, but what comes out of them. And for this reason I focused on shooting the light coming from the upcoming vehicles, as a way to show how I see my surroundings.
The child within
This is one of my experimental animations during my first semester in my MA Animation course. The reason why I choose this technique was because I was asked to use something I was familiar with, such as the traditional hand-drawn technique. The concept of this animation is based on my will to never grow up, and to always keep my inner child.
Bio identical hormones Episode 1/Life cycle
This one of the 7th episodes, I created for a research clinic- Beechwood Aesthetics. Which purpose is to promote the use of the Bio Identical Hormones, which are a new hormone developed to help ageing adults to have a better life. This episode is about our life cycle, which is a fundamental part of our development and hormonal balance.
This is a animation I created for my final year during my Undergraduate at Sunderland University. I wanted to create something i have never tried before, and this is why I choose to create this animation using only the 3D technique. The concept of the animation also includes dance, which i choreographed wit h a dancer- Lamis Khan- a dance student from University of Sunderland. But the most interesting part for me was working with a stop motion capture costume for the first time, which my dancer had to wear while performing the choreographed dance, and latter the data from the mo cap was taken into MAYA and combined with the 3D model of the main character from the animation. The concept of the animation is based on facing hard times, such as break ups or failure and finding strength in ourselves to move on and to enjoy our life.
I created this animation in my second year during my Undergraduate at Sunderland University. I got in touch with a charity organisation called Bread and Water for Africa, and i created this concept to promote their mission, which is to help kids who lost their families during war times, with free education, home and food.
